My favorite little coffee table book is called Paris vs. New York, described as “A friendly visual match between two cities told by a lover of Paris wandering through NewYork.
Details, clichés, contradictions.” Illustrated by the graphic artist Vahram Muratyan, it’s a hilarious, beautiful, and unique comparison of these two cities. In that vein, every Wednesday I’ll publish a city comparison of my own – just little observations on defining characteristics in two cities.

*Black tea with cream, scones, petit fours and cucumber sandwiches, perhaps a gin and tonic.
